Southern Roofing provides expert window removal and installation by our highly-trained team, paying special attention to the fit and seal of each window to provide the most energy efficient, low maintenance solution to each project. Our team insures the safeguard of surrounding landscaping and the complete removal of existing windows and components. We install windows with the following frame types:
Wood – Wood offers homeowners traditional looks with natural wood finished interiors that are ready for paint or stain to match any exterior materials. People who have wood windows love them both because of the appearance and because wood is a natural insulator. If well cared for, the wood framed window is not generally affected by temperature extremes, but it is more prone to swelling or shrinking and will require occasional repainting.
Vinyl – Vinyl offers homeowners with long-lasting, weather-tight material for extended performance and beauty. Vinyl window frames are usually made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with ultraviolet light (UV) stabilizers to keep sunlight from breaking down the material. PVC is a very versatile plastic with good insulating value. Vinyl window frames also do not require painting and have good moisture resistance.
Vinyl Clad Wood – Vinyl Clad windows offer homeowners the beauty of natural wood combined with the durability and ease of vinyl. An interior facing traditional wood frame paired with a weather resistant vinyl exterior frame.
Aluminum – Aluminum is a reliable, energy efficient material option that provides homeowners with little maintenance and long-lasting quality. Aluminum frames are strong, light and almost maintenance free as they do not split, warp, shrink or crack. To reduce heat flow and the U-factor, metal frames should have a thermal break—an insulating plastic strip placed between the inside and outside of the frame and sash.
